No one seems to get it: It's the CAMPAIGN. All the footage I've seen of the campaign on the 360 looks amazing: and all the multiplayer footage looks crap.
It's a classic case of the network not being able to handle the detail. I'd imagine it's the same on the PS3: campaign will look awesome, multiplayer will look crap (PS3 multiplayer beta looked crap, just like the 360).

Edit: On second thought, usually debug text will always have the frame per second (MSPF) displayed which I can't see on this. It's also odd having the time and date in the debug text, but that could be used to record people logining in or something (to potentially root out leakers? Like here?).

Never played the original Syndicate, which in this case is a good thing...this looks fucking awesome! I love the double iron-sight thing...and by the looks of it it has some proper crazy cybernetic enhancements, which is one thing Deus Ex lacked.
It only remains to be seen how "open" the world is, but even if it's a fairly straight forward story driven FPS (a la Chronicles of Riddick) I have faith that Star Breeze will make it good!
C'mon people, be honest with yourselves. Those screenshots are nothing to scream about. Maybe it's only a beta. Maybe they locked off some of the settings. Maybe it looks better in motion. Maybe the campaign will look better. I don't know but I'm sure I've seen better looking screenshots from console games, let alone PC on max settings.

I like how massively detailed the gun looks, and every past if looks like a PS2 game.
I know, I know, it's all about gameplay, blah, blah, blah, but for a game that touted itself as being technically amazing, it falls short on consoles. I never expected it look as good as the PC footage, but I at least expected better than this.
I'm sure PC gamers will have a blast, makes me wish I a had a grand or so to build a decent rig that could run it.

Do you know what comes after a beta? Gold. Between beta and gold, all they do is mostly bug fixes and optimising (for framerate). It isn't likely there's going to be any major graphical leaps between now and the end of october.

In all honestly, if this is how the console single player is going to look (I'm mostly getting it for the single player) then i might just have to pass on this one...

It's also annoying how quickly people leave after beating them: they're playing against bots for God knows how long, you join in with your friends, you make a comeback and win, and then they leave...so what, they prefer playing against bots then real people? I thought the only reason they were still in the game was because they were waiting for real...

All lies. Firstly they're not going to reuse LA Noire Assets because that would lazy on their part (and Rockstar aren't lazy) And secondly, every GTA from GTA 3 onwards has been set in fictional cities, I don't think they're gona change that now. It's easier to design gameplay around a city that's fictional then having to conform to a real location. And what's so amazing about LA that we want to play it anyway? Certainly they might base it on LA the same way Vi...
